What can we do to maintain healthy eating?
INTRODUCTION: We wake up and go through the day but what gives us energy? Food! but some foods are healthier than others. today we will begin looking at different types of food that we brought in today which was our favorite healthy and unhealthy snack. we will look at all the nutrition information that each food has to offer!
Task: AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO OF WHAT IS CONSIDERED A BALANCED DIET, THE STUDENTS WILL LEARN ABOUT WHAT IS HEALTHY AND UNHEALTHY. THROUGH THE CREATION OF A "CHOOSEMYPLATE" SUPER TRACKER YOU WILL LEARN THE DIFFERENT FACTS SUCH AS PROTEIN, FAT, TOTAL SUGAR, CALORIES, CARBOHYDRATES
Process:
1. The students will begin by listening to the youtube video of a healthy diet.
2. The students will choose the food the unhealthy or healthy one that i ask the students to bring from from the day before.
3. Students will then research their choosen food using the links provided and record their information in their notes.
4. Once the student have GATHERED their information they will go to choose my plate and make up a whole dinner plate that they eat on a daily basis and see all the information from the choose my plate super tracker.
5. The students will then have an ASSESSMENT of certain foods and with a few examples to see which is the better choose
